What if Something Goes Wrong?

You spend six months to two years or even longer planning your wedding. On the top of every bride’s worry-list are concerns about what might happen if something should go wrong at the last minute. You’ll probably be relieved to know that the vast majority of the time, weddings go off without any catastrophes! Still, it’s wise to ask your vendors what they would do in case of an emergency, an illness or equipment failure. Here are some questions that you should ask your wedding entertainer, along with our answers to these very questions:
  • Q: What would happen if our DJ were to get sick or was otherwise unable to perform at our wedding?
You can’t predict major illness, serious injuries or other emergency situations, but you certainly can (and should!) prepare for them. At Off the Chart Entertainment, all of our staff are full-time wedding entertainers. If the DJ who you are counting on were to experience an emergency and be unable to be at your wedding, the first thing we would do is notify you immediately. We would also tell you who would be filling in, as well as update you on any relevant details that might change anything at all about your special day. In the majority of these cases (which are exceedingly rare to begin with!), your entertainment would still go off without a hitch, with someone else filling in. Your guests will be none the wiser.

  • Q: What would happen if the equipment failed for any reason?
Just as you can’t predict illnesses or emergencies, you can’t always predict electronic failures. We keep our equipment well-maintained, and if there is a clue that a piece of equipment may not be up to par, then we remedy the situation immediately. However, if the worst should occur and equipment fails during your wedding, rest assured that we have back-up equipment ready. We bring back-ups to every single event that we perform at, because you just never know. Downtime would be minimized and we would be back to playing and entertaining as soon as possible.

  • Q: Are you insured?
This is probably one of the most important questions that you can ask. Any wedding entertainer should be fully insured to protect themselves, the bridal couple and the venue. At Off the Chart Entertainment, we have a full insurance policy that covers anything that might go wrong on our end, so you can rest easy and not worry about it.
If you have any questions that you need answered regarding wedding entertainment, wedding DJ services or anything else, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. It’s our pleasure to serve you and to make your wedding day special.
