Top Five Ideas for Christmas Proposals
Christmas is in the air! If you are planning a Christmas wedding proposal, here are some creative ideas for such a special occasion.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! For most of us, Christmas means family gatherings, goodwill toward everyone and, if we’re lucky, special surprises. For a few of us, the season brings something very special: a Christmas wedding proposal! Guys, Christmas is a wonderful time to propose to the love of your life: Every Christmas hereafter, you’ll remember what a special day it was! Also, family is often gathered close, so everybody can celebrate your joy with you. You might be planning a very special Christmas gift for your bride-to-be, and if you are going to surprise her with a diamond ring, it’s worth coming up with an extra-special and fun proposal idea. Here are five great ways to pop the question:
  1. Wrap up the ring in the small box it came in.
Place that in a slightly bigger box, and that one in a slightly bigger box... you get the picture. Five or six boxes is probably a good limit; you don’t want your soon-to-be fiancee to be irritated by the time she gets to the tiny box and sees you on bended knee!

  2. Put it in her stocking.
This is especially good if you open stockings after the main gifts have been opened; once she opens a few gifts from you, she certainly won’t be expecting something so valuable as a stocking-stuffer!

  3. Tie the ring to one of the Christmas tree branches.
Since she might not notice it right away, make a comment about that “new sparkly ornament,” or tell her that you’ve hidden a little gift among the branches. Conversely, tie the ring to an ornament and ask her to tell you the story behind that particular decoration (or, if she’s at your house, offer to tell her the story about it) in order to draw her attention.

  4. Hang the ring from mistletoe,
catch her under it, give her a big kiss, and ask her if she’d like that to be her first kiss as an engaged woman. Point out the ring and pop the question.

  5. Take advantage of the romantic ambiance of the season.
Go for a horse-drawn carriage ride through a local park, or snuggle in front of the fireplace, then get down on one knee and ask her to be your bride. The lights, the music and the foliage this time of year sets an amazing backdrop for such a romantic gesture!
No matter how you propose, doing so during the holidays is sure to make a memorable experience for you, your fiancee, and your extended families. A Christmas wedding proposal will never be forgotten, and makes a great story for your future children and grandchildren.
