Top Five Clues That He’s Going to Propose on Valentine’s Day
You Feel A Sense of Deja Vu
It’s no big deal if your sweetheart wants to surprise you with whatever he has planned for Valentine’s Day, but one romantic ploy that seems pretty popular is the recreation of the couple’s first date as background to a proposal. If he picks you up wearing the same outfit that he wore on that first meeting and the two of you head off in the direction of the first place you ate on that evening many months (or years!) ago, then be on the lookout for him to drop to one knee!
No matter how long you’ve been together and how many times you’ve discussed the future, the day he pops the question will be nerve wracking for him.
He Insists on a Sporting Event
Let’s face it: Unless you’re a die-hard sports fan, going to watch a game is not typically considered the most romantic Valentine’s Day date. If your man is insisting that you attend a hockey game with him, be prepared to possibly see your name along with the phrase, “Will you marry me?” scroll across the screen of the jumbo-tron.
He Seems Awfully Attentive As You Eat Your Dessert
It might be a bit predictable, but it’s also sweet as can be, in more than one way: Your boyfriend might have the waiter slip the ring into your dessert. If he isn’t taking his eyes off of you as you dig into your cheesecake, chew carefully to avoid choking on a diamond ring!
You’re Spending Valentine’s Day With A Lot of People...
like your grandparents, his brother and your respective best friends. If there seems to be a rather large crowd gathered at any point on Valentine’s Day, there might be a reason for it. Most people don’t plan surprise birthday parties on such a romantic occasion, but plenty of people might plan surprise engagement parties.
He is Tripping Over Himself With Nervousness
No matter how long you’ve been together and how many times you’ve discussed the future, the day he pops the question will be nerve wracking for him. If he’s stumbling over his words and walking into door jams, he may have a very good reason to have a case of the jitters.
Of course, none of these guarantees that you’ll be spending the next year or so planning your wedding, but they just might be clues that an engagement is in your very near future! If you do, in fact, have the pleasure of accepting a wedding proposal this Valentine’s Day, come back and let us know all about it in the comments section below. Happy Valentine’s Day!
