Winter Wedding Destinations
The weather outside may be frightful pretty soon , but that doesn’t mean that you’re doomed to have a chilly wedding if you have chosen to wed over the winter. With the world being made smaller and smaller by technology, you could conceivably choose to get married anywhere in the world! Many couples choose to have destination weddings, and there’s no better time to do so than in the winter, when temperatures are downright gorgeous in many wedding destinations! Here are five popular locations for wintertime destination weddings for you to consider:
Disney World

Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida

No one does magic like Disney, and with a few different options offered at Walt Disney World in Orlando, you can have the wedding of your dreams. Whether you want to have just a few special guests, a reception for up to 20, or a larger wedding package, you and your beloved will be treated like royalty from start to finish. You aren’t limited to the resort in Orlando, of course; you can also get married at Disneyland in California, on a Disney cruise departing from south Florida, or America’s newest Disney resort, Aulani, in Hawaii.
Jamaica

Jamaica

If you’re looking for a tropical paradise, the white sands of Jamaica may be just the ticket. Not only is it popular and easy to tie the knot in Jamaica, but the country itself has a wide variety of relaxing and adventurous options for the honeymoon. If you choose Sandals resort, your wedding will be all-inclusive, and all you’ll have to do is sit back and relax.
Aruba

Aruba

With a distinctly European feel, many couples take their vows on the sandy beaches of Aruba. Here, your options are quite varied; while there are no extremely luxurious properties on the island, you’ll have your pick of mid-range hotels, as well as those inspired by Eurostyle. Of course, you can also get married right on the sand! Make your own arrangements or have them made for you with an all-inclusive package.
Fiji

Fiji

On the Fiji islands, December, January and February are the peak of the summer. The weather is hot and humid, and there may be rain in the afternoon, but if you’re looking to get away from Old Man Winter, this is a wedding destination that will certainly warm you up!
Colorado

Colorado

You might wonder why Colorado is on the list of best wedding destinations for the winter. Colorado is home to many beautiful ski resorts which offer wedding packages! If you are a skier, you might like to proclaim your love to the world from the top of a mountain. Breckenridge is one mountain town that is known for its beautiful winter weddings.
One drawback to having a destination wedding is that many of your guests, if you choose to invite guests, will not be able to make it. Later this month, we’ll talk about some ways to get around this issue in a way that will allow everyone to share in your joy as you begin your new life as husband and wife!
