Wedding Entertainment is a huge factor to consider in the wedding planning process and should be given due consideration sooner rather than later! Make sure the Wedding DJ can play your favorite songs and especially your wedding song! A good wedding DJ will have a very large database of music to satisfy all genres of musical tastes - and if not they will be able to source it for you.

Besides making sure they can play the songs you want, be sure they also will not play the songs you don't want. "Do not play" lists are also very important, or it could lead any number of awkward moments - I heard about a wedding where the groom's mother thought she was doing something sweet by requesting the DJ play one of her favorite romantic songs, only to learn later it was actually the bride's song with her first husband… and the groom knew it. Ooops!

Be sure to let your DJ know about your wedding's dress code. EG: Black Tie Event, Hawaiian,  Medieval Theme etc. That way your DJ can also dress to be a part of your theme.

Last but certainly not least, make sure there is ample space at your venue for your DJ to set up AND for your guests to dance. If you are having an outdoor reception, make sure the location is equipped for that and if there is any additional equipment you might need to rent, or will it be provided by your venue or the DJ?  Consider any additional enhancements like special lighting effects, video screens or other atmospheric enhancements.
