You don’t necessarily need someone with decades of experience, but for your wedding, you are probably going to want somebody who has worked at least a couple dozen events.

The one possible exception to the “you must meet the DJ” rule would occur if the professional that you hire becomes ill or has some type of emergency that precludes him from coming on the wedding day.
